Dhemaji, 4th August, 2020 : - A group of students from Tezpur visited the frequently flood affected areas of Dhemaji recently. Almost all the areas of Dhemaji are inundated for last one week and are still under water. There are shelter camps here and there for the flood victim people and animals. People have taken shelter on the river embankments. As has been reported many bamboo huts, cows and goats are washed away. People in the shelter camps have been passing sleepless nights without food and drinking water. There is no help from Govt. but some two or three NGOs have provided some negligible helps. The students from Tezpur took some bread, butter, milk, drinking water and medicine in a motor boat and distributed among the hungry and thirsty flood hit people.
