2. A fifteen years old boy Who was going to the market riding a bicycle was knocked down by a biker and was badly hurt. Write a report on the accident to be published in the magazine on what you saw.

A 15 years old boy, son of Mr. Ujjal Das, the resident of Christianbasti was knocked down by a bike rider while he was going to the market on his bicycle and I watched the complete accident as at that time I was standing on the footpath talking to a friend in the morning at 9-30 am on 10th June. The bike rider was a young boy not very much experienced of riding his bike. The biker who was riding fast suddenly hit-the boy and the latter fell down on the drain. His right leg was badly injured. Immediately many people gathered there one kind fellow took the boy in his car and drove straightway to the Guwahati Medical College & Hospital. It was doubted that there would be fracture in his right leg. The biker accompanied the wounded boy and assured all medical help.

Kamakhaya Temple, Guwahati, the 15th June 2018 : A team of central ministers led by the CM of Assam visited the Kamakhaya Temple on 13th June 2018 after their prolonged curiosity to know something about the holy shrine of national importance. They 'spent much time worshipping the goddess and enquiring the history of the temple. The ministers were escorted by a good many Security men. The flow of general visitors to the temple was interrupted for two hours. One of the ministers spoke that animal sacrifice in the name of the goddess is to-day an unwise act. In the last the ministers met the officials of the management committee for Temple Development and assured help for better accommodation to the visitors coming from other remote states of India.

With respect I would like to bring to your knowledge the problem of malaria patients in and around the Rowta area. For 2 years it has been found that the entire Rowta area is very much
affected by malaria disease, patients specially during summer rush to the dispensary. The number of doctors and staff working and the rooms for treatment are not enough for which patients are made to lie on benches with saline hanging from the branches of trees here and there in the campus.
I therefore draw your kind attention to highlight the problem through your esteemed daily urging prompt attention and action of the Health minister of Assam that there can be no alternative without the upgradation of the infrastructure of the dispensary.

Ans- The poetess feared of ageing and death from her childhood. Time and ageing waits for none. Ageing, separation and death are inevitable to every human being.

9. Answer any one of the :
(a) How did R. K. Shukla persuade Gandhi to go to Champaran? Discuss.
Ans- The time was 1916 Gandhi was present in Lucknow to attend the annual convention of the Indian National Congress Party. In Lucknow Rajkumar Shukla met Gandhi for the first time and pleaded Gandhi to visit his district Champaran. Gandhi heard the name of Champran for the first time that is located in the foothills of Himalayas. Rajkumar Shukla was a poor share cropper. There estates were worked by Indian tenants to grow Indigo 15% of them holding lands. While synthetic indigo was developed in Germany indigo plantation no longer remained profitable. The landlords released the tenants. Then the sharecroppers had to refund huge compensation in return.
Gandhi told Skukla that he had an appointment in Cawnpore and some other parts of India. Shukla did not give up the company of Gandhi and accompanied with Gandhi to Ahmedabad. Shukla also requested Gandhi to fix a date for Champaran district. Finally, Gandhi was impressed with Shukla and decided to visit Champaran and Shukla was successful in persuading Gandhi.
(b) Describe M Hamel's last day at School.
Ans- On the day of the last lesson, M Hamel was greatly disturbed by the news from Berlin. He put on his special dress which he never wore except on inspection and prize days.
When Franz came late, M Hamel did not scold him. On the contrary, M Hamel asked him to go to his seat. Then he told that that was the last French lesson for them and the new master would come the next day to teach German. Franz could not answer the participles. But for that M Hamel did not blame Franz only. It is because, he himself is also responsible for Franz's inability to read and write the French language. He blames the guardians for Franz's inability and confessed himself too. Because while he wants to go for fishing, He declares the school just a holiday. M. Hamel declared that French was the most beautiful and logical language in the world and asked that they must guard it because it was their key to freedom. Then he took a lesson on grammar and when the church clock struck twelve he stood up from his chair. Then he turned to the black board and wrote Vive-La-France and made a gesture to his pupils to mean the end of classes. This is what the last lesson by M. Hamel.

Ans- On the day of Domahi, rice and curry is not taken as lunck,Chira, pitha, curd etc. are taken as lunch. One special preparation is mah-karai a combination of roasted rice, back gram, sesame and pieces of ginger. Tekeli pitha and sunger pitha are also taken as lunch on the Domahi.
(b) Why has Mr. Lamb a tin leg?
Ans- Mr. Lamb has a tin leg because his real leg was blown off in the war. In spite of that he was very broad minded and optimistic towards life.
(c) Why and how did Derry enter Mr. Lamb's garden?
Ans- Derry entered Mr. Lamb's garden because he thought that there would be nobody around to look at him.
(d) What will now happen to the astrologer?
Ans- No harm will be done to the astrologer. The king will not be able to kill the hundredth tiger.
(e) What are the sounds heard in Mr. Lamb's garden?
Ans- Buzzing of the bees, bird's song and the rustling of leaves could be heard in Mr. Lamb's garden.
